The Fiji Airways Fijian 7s team are taking one game at a time when the Los Angeles 7s kicks-off at the Dignity Health & Sports ground on Sunday.

After playing a warm-up game against Australia yesterday, head coach Gareth Baber said they are now focused on their first pool game against South Korea.

The Fijians are pooled with invitational side South Korea, Argentina and France.

‘’We have a tough pool and we will be up against two teams who have beaten us this season,” he said.

“Our first game is against South Korea and we want to concentrate on ourselves and take each game as it comes.

“We need to be flexible which we have talked about as a team’’.

From the Australia game, Baber says, they used it to see their combinations and also work on their set-pieces.

He said they are excited and at the same time focused for the two-day tournament.

‘’We know about the size of Los Angeles and we know all teams will be in a process of finding a little bit about what the tournament will be like in L.A.’’ he said.

Fiji take on South Korea at 6.51am on Sunday, then face France at 9.47am before battling it out against Argentina at 1.05pm.
