Coca-Cola Amatil Fiji Limited (CCAF) has extended their support for the Fiji Rugby Union by committing to another new three-year partnership as the main sponsor for non-alcoholic ready to drink beverages.

Coca-Cola Amatil Fiji marketing manager Lawrence Tikaram said yesterday that they would supply beverages not only to the national teams but also to the local provincial teams as well.

This, Tikaram says, are for the Flying Fijians, Fijiana XV, Fijian and Fijiana 7s teams, Fijian Warriors during the World Rugby Pacific Challenge, Fijian Drua during the Australian National Rugby Championship and the Fijian Latui along with the Skipper Cup and Vanua Championship teams.

“That goes for all the training gear as well as far as Powerade is concern with water bottles and stuff that is required for moving teams around and also support in the hosting of tournaments and matches that we have locally.”

FRU chief executive officer John O’ Connor said they are grateful to the sponsorship deal.

“We know our boys and girls as they compete in the global arena and we’re thankful that an international brand like Coca-Cola has agreed to join us in our three- year journey of sponsorship,” he said

“They’ll supply all our drinks for the teams and also Powerade.

“Likewise the powder drink that our teams need that gives them the energy to help them in training and including their strength.”

“We appreciate your generosity for coming on board and joining us for the next interesting three years taking us right to the 2023 Rugby World Cup.”
