The Fiji Airways Fijian 7s team are going to face France again in their Pool B clash for the Vancouver Sevens in Canada, this weekend.

France gave Fiji a tough clash during the Los Angeles Sevens before the Fijians edged them out with a 33-28 win.

Veteran halfback Jerry Tuwai said playing France is not always easy.

The French are now being assisted by former Fijian 7s head coach Ben Ryan, who also indicated that he was happy with how they had played.

For the Fijians, another tough encounter is against hosts Canada, who had beaten them 26-19 in their pool clash last year.

Captain Meli Derenalagi said winning the ball is their priority as it allows them to play the type of game they want.

Unlike, last year the Fijians are now injury-free with lanky forward Apenisa Cakaubalavu and newcomer Suliano Volivoli likely to get a run at the BC Place Stadium.

SCHOOL VISIT TODAY

The First Nations welcomed the Fiji Airways 7s team at the Vancouver International Airport, Canada,  last night.

A small Fijian crowd had also greeted the team at the concourse as they arrived from Los Angeles.

The team will visit Mountain Pleasant Community School in East Vancouver today from 10-11am.

The visits will offer students a skills session, an athlete meet and greet, and a question-answer period with the athletes.

As part of the community visits, they will also be engaging with local youths and First Nations communities.

The team will go for its first full run on Wednesday.

Vancouver weather calls for overcast conditions with periodically sunny breaks, high of 9 degrees and low 4 degrees.

Fiji play Wales at 7.37am (Fiji time), Canada at 10.49am and France at 2.33pm on Sunday.
