Woman, 24, Dies In Bus Crash Along Votualevu, Nadi

A 24-year-old woman was the latest road fatality last night.
The bus she was travelling is said to have veered off the road, plunged into a slope and halted suddenly leaving her trapped, Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said.
The incident, which happened along Votualevu in Nadi, was filled with passengers.
Ms Naisoro said the bus was travelling towards Carreras Rd.
The victim, she said, was assisted by Police and onlookers.
She was pronounced dead at the Nadi Hospital.
Five people are admitted at the Nadi Hospital while two, with more serious injuries, were taken to the Lautoka Hospital.
The driver of the bus is in Police custody as investigation continue.
Meanwhile, a 45-year-old woman of Nukuloa back road was rushed to the Lautoka hospital yesterday after she lost her arm in an alleged attempted murder-suicide incident.
The husband, who later took his own life, is alleged to have attacked his wife as Police investigate the matter.
