A. 72-year-old businessman of Korotogo was discharged yesterday after testing negative for coronavirus.

Mostafa Khattab, who runs a hotel business at Korotogo, arrived into the country from a Sydney flight on March 8.

He later developed fever, neck and shoulder pains.

“I arrived from Australia that Sunday and was feeling okay,” Mr Khattab said.

“Suddenly I managed to feel awkward with the fever.”

Without bearing the pain, he was taken to the Sigatoka Hospital on Thursday and placed in isolation.

On Friday afternoon he was transferred to the Nadi Hospital and kept isolated at a ward.

“The doctors and nurses were very professional. I cannot get out of my room, but my wife got me everything. They were making various tests,” Mr Khattab said.

“The only thing I was thinking about the most in my mind was will I ever travel towards home once again. Will I be able to lie on my comforting bed at home? Those are a few questions we would ask ourselves,” he said.

Mr Khattab was out of the country for 23 days where he had undergone a medical check-up in Australia.
