Third Body Of Victim Recovered From Island Quarries In Namosi

The body of the third victim from the Island Quarry landslide was recovered at around 10.30am today.
The body of the third victim from the landslide at the Island Quary beside Mau village in Namosi has been found at 10.30am this morning.
The recovery work was led by the Mineral Resources Department officials who tracked the potential location of where the victim could be trapped.
A total of three people were killed from this tragic incident.
The rescue team who were part of this operation including the Fiji Police Force, NDMOofficials, Mineral Resource Department, Provincial Administrator Namosi, Roko Tui Namosi, villages of Mau and workers of Island Quary.
The NDOMO office is asking the general public to please refrain from working in a hazard areaand crossing flooded river. Please adhere to warnings and ensure safety to all.
