BTL: How The Fiji Sun Got Through

So much noise from that small anti-lot about the Fiji Sun getting into Lautoka ahead of the other paper.
It’s all about getting proper approvals from the proper people in advance.
It’s also not about vans just driving through the checkpoint. Proper arrangements had to be put in place to have the bundles of newspapers passed across the checkpoint in the early morning hours. Without any drivers or vehicles going through.
But then that small but noisy anti-lot never let the facts get in the way of their “stories”.
SODELPA judgment late March, lawyers told
Lawyers in the case between Watisoni Nata and others versus SODELPA and others have been informed that the judgment will be delivered in late March 2020.
This was in response to a letter sent by AK Lawyers, for the plaintiffs Watisoni Nata & Others, querying about the date of the judgment delivery.
Vosarogo Lawyers, for the defendants SODELPA & Others, was copied in on the correspondence.
The presiding judge would be hearing some cases in Labasa and on his return he would deliver judgement in late March.
The exact date is not known. But it will be between now and Tuesday next week.
Mr Nata has taken SODELPA and its executives to court over governance issues. He claims that the party’s General Assembly (annual general meeting) in Yaroi, Savusavu in June last year was unconstitutional because it breached the party’s constitution and the Political Parties Act.
Bringing out the best
A lot of Good Samaritan work is being done behind the scenes in some parts of the country.
Members of one church are staying connected through the internet to help one another.
Led by their Bishop, the members are reaching out to help those in need, the widows and widowers, families without both parents and one parent, workers who have lost their jobs due to the economic crisis caused by COVID-19, the elderly and destitute, poor and the needy.
This is pure religion as defined in James chapter 1 , verse 27 of the New Testament of the Holy Bible King James Version.
To those Fijians, BTL salutes you and encourages others to follow you. If we help one another we can pull through this crisis together.
It’s all about bringing out the best in people.
