Three Women Appear In Court For Spreading False Information On Social Media

The court has ordered Ms Camaibau to undergo a psychiatric evaluation at the St Giles Hospital and her case will be called again on the 2nd April.

Three Women Appear In Court For Spreading False Information On Social Media

Thirty-six year old Titilia Camaibau, fifty-three year old Marica Bole and 32year old Sharoon Devi Kumar were produced at the Suva Magistrates Court today each charged with one count of Malicious Act contrary to Section 15 (a) of the Public Order Act 1969 for allegedly spreading false information on social media which created panic and anxiety amongst members of the public.

The court has ordered Ms Camaibau to undergo a psychiatric evaluation at the St Giles Hospital and her case will be called again on the 2nd April.

Ms Devi has been remanded in custody for the next 7 days and her case will be called again on the 2nd of April.

Ms Bole has been bailed and ordered of report to the Nasinu Police Station every first day of the month and her case will be called again on the 15th of June.
