After yesterday’s Parliament session closed, Fiji Sun noted that Government MP Faiyaz Siddiq Koya had some stern words to share with National Federation Party leader and Opposition member, Biman Prasad.

Mr Koya did not seem pleased with Mr Prasad and was constantly pointing at the Opposition member. Fiji Sun has yet to establish what the exchange was about.

Mr Koya, who was sworn-in as Member of Parliament on Thursday, replacing the former Minister for Lands and Mineral Resources, Ashneel Sudhakar.

Mr Prasad came under heavy fire from Government members after he claimed he did not call for a pay cut for civil servants. Attorney-General and Minister for Economy Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum produced a Fiji Times report quoting Mr Prasad as saying this.
