The Cakaudrove Provincial Council has put in place contingency measures should there be a coronavirus case in the Northern Division.

Provincial administrator Setaraki Dakuiboca said they continued to have meetings with stakeholders to assist those in the maritime islands with valuable information.

“With the restrictions in place, we will continue to monitor and uphold all the directives given by the Government,” Mr Dakuiboca said.

“The health centres will also operate as Fever Clinics, but if there is a case, then there are plans to move them into isolation from the main health centres and hospitals,” he said.

The Northern Division, excluding Taveuni and the outer islands, has four fever clinics that are established outside or close to the health centres.

These Fever Clinics are open from 8am to 4pm from Monday to Sunday.
