A 45-year-old businessman of Nadi has pleaded guilty to breaching the Lautoka confined area restrictions.

Taito Nalukuya, of Legalega appeared before Magistrate Siromi Turaga in the Nadi Magistrates Court on Wednesday charged with one count of disobedience to lawful order.

He was granted bail and told to self-isolate for 14 days.

He was represented by Faizal Koya while Police Sergeant Ana Mateiwai represented the state.

Mr Koya said his client was remorseful for his action and had co-operated with the Police when he was arrested at his residence in Legalega.

Nalukuya was bailed for the sum of $500, and was ordered not to re-offend while on bail.

The matter was adjourned to April 15 at the Nadi Magistrate Court for sentencing.
