COVID-19: Drone Used To Monitor Movement Along Waterways

Everyone needs to observe and adhere to the lockdown rules as it is being implemented for everyone's well being and anyone found breaching the restrictions will be arrested upon sight.

COVID-19: Drone Used To Monitor Movement Along Waterways

Drone capabilities is being used to also monitor movement along waterways where reports are coming in that people are trying to get into the Suva lockdown areas by boat.

Everyone needs to observe and adhere to the lockdown rules as it is being implemented for everyone’s well being and anyone found breaching the restrictions will be arrested upon sight.

Commissioner of Police Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho has said these breaches will not be taken lightly.

“We will not take these breaches lightly and as we have seen on day one of the lockdown operations, many have complied and cooperated with officers manning the checkpoints, however we have also received reports of possible breaches which is under investigation,” he said.
