24 Year Old Who Called On People To Breach Curfew On Social Media Fronts Court

A 24year old man alleged to have incited violence and disobedience with a Facebook comment appeared in the Suva Magistrates Court today.

Josaia Bulinivono Naitukunivalu appeared before Magistrate Seini Puamau and said he understood the charge against him.

Magistrate Puamau told him to find something better to do with his time after he informed the Court that he is unemployed.

He has been bailed and will appear again on June 17th.

The accused resides in Tacirua and had allegedly posted a comment on Facebook calling on people to breach curfew hours following a Press statement issued by the Prime Minister on COVID – 19

He has been charged under Section 16 of the Public Order Act.
