Plans To Migrate To New Zealand Shattered

Plans to settle in New Zealand was shattered for 29-year-old waiter, Krishnil Deo.
The late Mr Deo died following a motorcycle accident along the Queens Road in Nadi on Sunday afternoon.
Brother-in-law and businessman, Satya Nadan, said Mr Deo had planned to settle in New Zealand with his sister.
Mr Nadan said the family was in shock to hear of the tragic incident.
“For the last three months, he had worked for me as a waiter at the restaurant in town. That morning before the incident happened he visited his family in Mate Road and went to Sonaisali where another sister lived.
“He did some shopping and even gave a plastic bag of goodies to their tenant.”
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said the victim left his home in Korovuto and was travelling towards Sonaisali when he allegedly failed to negotiate where he landed.
“He was rushed to the Nadi Hospital where he passed away shortly after,” she said.
He is survived by his wife.
The post-mortem examination is expected today.
