COVID-19: 14 Alleged Law Breakers Front Nadi Court

Fourteen people alleged to have breached the nationwide curfew restrictions on Friday night appeared at the Nadi Magistrates Court yesterday.

Fourteen people alleged to have breached the nationwide curfew restrictions on Friday night appeared at the Nadi Magistrates Court yesterday.

Appearing before Magistrate Nirosha Kannangara were Peni Rimo, Terio Rajale, Sangeeta Narayan, Iliesa Cokanasiga, Makereta Radriwa, Tokasa Tinanivalu, Avinit Chand, Aseri Rika, Viliame Ratu, Tomasi Terega, Paula Dauraivuli, Seremaia Dau Tuinaceva, Lemeki Nadrova and Mosese Cama.

They are charged with disobedience of a lawful order.

They were bailed for $500 and ordered not to reoffend. Appointed court curfew hours from 7pm to 5am was also imposed.

Terega, Dauraivuli, Tuinaceva, Nadrova, Cama, and Ratu’s case was adjourned to June 1 while Rimo, Rajale and Rika’s case was adjourned to May 11.

Cokanasiga, Radriwa, Tinanivalu, and Chand’s case was adjourned to May 29, while Narayan’s case was adjourned to May 13.
