18 Charged For Disobedience Of Lawful Order Produced Before Magistrate

Eighteen people accused of breaching the nationwide curfew restrictions on Saturday night fronted the Nadi Magistrates Court yesterday.

Eighteen people accused of breaching the nationwide curfew restrictions on Saturday night fronted the Nadi Magistrates Court yesterday.

Epi Dakai, Inoke Vosailagi, Inoke Koroisuva, Epeli Dakuiliga, Tomasi Dakui, Apete Bogitini, Samuela Delai, Serupepeli Tuibua, Vereto Tagudunaivoli, Aseri Rika, Sereima Ratuvuli, Ilisoni Narogo, Timoci Banuve, Eroni Delai, Samisoni Molilevu, Saini Draunisai, Kunal Prasad and Metuisela Tawake appeared before Magistrate Nilmini Ferdinandez.

They are charged with disobedience of a lawful order.

Magistrate Ferdinandez granted a $500 bail and ordered the accused not to reoffend. A court appointed curfew was ordered from 7pm to 6am.

Ratuvuli, Narogo, Banuve, Delai, Molilevu, Draunisai, Tawake, Tagudunaivoli and Prasad’s case was adjourned to May 13 while Dakai, Vosailagi, Koroisuva and Dakuliga’s case was adjourned to May 14.

Tuibua’s case was adjourned to June 3 while Dakui, Bogitini and Delai’s case was adjourned to May 12.

Meanwhile, Rika was remanded and his case was adjourned to April 20.
