Two boys, who set up an illegal roadblock along Sukanaivalu Road in Nabua, were produced in the Suva Magistrates Court yesterday.

Fiji Ships and Heavy Industries Limited Winch Operator, Josese Edwin, and co-accused unemployed teen, Jeremaia Ubitau, were arrested on April 10 during curfew hours.

The Court heard that the duo set up illegal roadblocks and were arrested after an employee of a media company alerted Police.

They told Magistrate Ropate Green that they were smoking in front of their homes when they were arrested.

Both accused persons pleaded guilty to the offence, and were told to follow the law.

They were fined $200, which they have to pay within a month or risk being jailed for 20 days.

They were released on $200 bail bond.

Their case was adjourned to May 13 for review.

Meanwhile, 25 people appeared in the Suva Magistrates Court yesterday charged with breaching curfew and social gathering orders.
