Security Woman Allegedly Breached Curfew

A Wailoku woman fronted court yesterday, charged with breaching the nationwide curfew. She said she was arrested by military officers at 8:10pm while she was on her way home from work.

Ruci Delai, a security officer, appeared before Magistrate Deepika Prakash and opted to be represented by Legal Aid lawyer. Her lawyer submitted that she was not a danger to society and has vowed never to commit another offence and appear in court again.

The accused said she would honour curfew hours and stay out of trouble. The accused was bailed for $200 and her case adjourned to June 23, for mention.
