An announcement is expected to be made today regarding a new COVID-19 case. This would be Fiji’s 18th patient.
The Ministry of Health and Medical Services is expected to do another round of tests today before an announcement is made.
Minister for Health Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete said yesterday that Patient 18 is from Varadoli, Ba.
He also confirmed that for the first time, Patient 1’s test results turned out negative yesterday.
Update:
Since this post has been put up, Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete said that they are awaiting confirmatory tests.
