A knife, hammer and garden spade was allegedly stolen and used to kill a man in Rarawai, Ba on Saturday.

This were claims made by Rajendra Singh.

Police spokesperson, Ana Naisoro said the discovery of the man’s body was made known when a carrier driver who was tasked to load a drum in a nearby canefield saw what looked like blood and alerted Police.

When contacted yesterday to confirm whether there was a second body found in relation to the alleged murder, Ms Naisoro said she could only officially comment on the body that was discovered on Saturday.

The victim who is believed to be from Bangladesh was renting in a home with two others in a house in Rarawai belonging to Rajendra Singh.

Mr Singh, who resides next to the home, said the three men arrived into the country on December 29, 2019.

Ms Naisoro said a 37-year-old man is being questioned regarding the incident as investigations continue.
