Progress Of Bail For FBC Announcer Tomorrow
The case for the 24-year-old Fijian Broadcasting Corporation Bula FM Radio announcer Alisi Koroi has been adjourned tomorrow.
Her case was called yesterday before Chief Magistrate Usaia Ratuvili to check on the progress of her formal bail application.
However, the accused who is in remand did not appear in Court.
Police Prosecutor Constable Saula Qiolevu appeared for the State and is expected to respond to Koroi’s bail application by tomorrow.
The radio announcer is charged with one count of Malicious Act.
She is alleged to have posted a comment on her social media page calling on people to stone vehicles during curfew hours.
The post was alleged to have been published between April 7 and 8. Her comment was alleged to have disturbed the public peace by advising people, in the iTaukei language.
