Lami Youths Found In Possession Of Illicit Drugs While Violating Social Gathering Orders

Lami Youths Found In Possession Of Illicit Drugs While Violating Social Gathering Orders

Three youths from Lami were produced in the Suva Magistrates Court yesterday charged with one count each of failure to comply with public order, possession of illicit drugs and resisting arrest.

It is alleged that Josua Ravula, Tuimoala Kotobalavu and Naisua Vuniwaiwai were arrested in Nadonumai for violating social gathering orders and were found in possession of 11.2grams of illicit drugs.

Sergeant Narayan also said that Kotobalavu has a pending bench warrant against him and had re-offended.

Ravula and Vuniwaiwai were released on $300 bail bond with one surety each.

Kotobalavu was refused bail and remanded in custody for a previous conviction.

Their case was adjourned to May 7 for mention.
