Weather: A Trough Of Low Pressure Remains Slow Moving Over Fiji

A trough of low pressure remains slow moving over Fiji. Associated cloud and rain continues to affect the group.

Forecast:
Occasional rain few thunderstorms expected over Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti Group, the eastern and western parts and the interior of Viti Levu and Kadavu.

Elsewhere,occasional showers and few thunderstorms expected. Isolated heavy falls expected. Localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low lying areas.

A heavy rain warning remains in force for Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti Group, the eastern and western parts and the interior of Viti Levu and Kadavu.

Heavy Rain Alert
A heavy rain alert is now in force for the rest of Fiji.

Flash Flood alert
A flash flood alert remains in force for low lying areas, areas adjacent to and downstream of Waimanu Station

Water level at Waimanu Station was 3.26m at 9.00am which is 0.67m below alert level and increasing.
