Probe On MPs: Secretary-General To Parliament Files Complaint With Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption
Secretary-General to Parliament, Viniana Namosimalua.

Secretary-General to Parliament Viniana Namosimalua has filed a complaint with the Fiji Independent Commission against Corruption (FICAC) on possible breaches of the Parliamentary Remuneration Act and guidelines.

When contacted last night, FICAC confirmed receiving the complaint, however, refused to divulge further information.

It is understood that the complaint is in relation to allegations that certain Members of Parliament have been claiming travel and accommodation allowance without being eligible.

It is further understood that the allowances were related to Parliamentary sessions as well as committee sittings.

Fiji Sun hopes to get further details of the complaint from Ms Namosimalua today.
