The Secretary-General of the Parliament of Fiji, Viniana Namosimalua has confirmed that the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) has begun their investigations. This is in regard to a complaint she lodged regarding some Members of Parliament.

Ms Namosimalua, in her complaint, said that some Members of Parliament were claiming travel and meal allowance they were not entitled to.

She said she had her discussions with an investigative team from FICAC in her office yesterday, whereby she had given her
statement.

Ms Namosimalua said she was not aware of the details of the process of investigation they would carry out.

She added that those who would be investigated would be notified by FICAC.
