Man Attacks Police Officer With Bottle In Nadi During Curfew Hours

A police officer was attacked during curfew hours starting at 10pm on Saturday with an empty bottle in Votualevu, Nadi.
The officer was allegedly attacked by a 23-year-old man from Waiyavi in Lautoka. He was found to be breaching curfew regulation and was also charged for serious assault.
The officer sustained minor injuries.
Police recorded 35 cases of curfew breaches in all five policing divisions between the hours of 10pm and 5am this morning.
The Southern Division recorded 18 reports, Eastern nine, Western six while the North and Central had one case each.
Two women were arrested by officers from the Raiwaqa Police Station. The officers attended to a report of excessive noise and arrested the two women who were found walking along Leys Road in Raiwai.
People were also found walking around during curfew hours along Fletcher Road, Nailuva Road, Jittu Estate,Rewa Street, Narara Street, Navua Town, Caubati and Nadera.
