Fiji Beachouse has marked an increase in room occupancy since restrictions related to the coronavirus pandemic were eased, said spokesman Eli Moore.

The resort, located along the Coral Coast at Namatakula, is open for $125 a night for two adults.

A couple will pay $199 for two consecutive nights.Individuals pay $35 a night at the Fiji Beachouse dormitories, Mr Moore said.

“We have reduced our rates to draw on the local economy, but haven’t designed any packages yet, nor will we.

“Longer stays may get bigger discounts, though we work on a case by case basis, as it depends on existing bookings,” he said.

“This rate includes free breakfast, yoga, kayak rides for singles or doubles, and access to Wifi.”

The dormitories are more common with groups, he said.

Mr Moore said dormitory room rates covered free breakfast, yoga, kayaks for singles and doubles, and access to the Wifi.

“Activities are usually run during the weekends, as that’s when we have the most guests,” he said.

“We work on a week by week basis and try to do something different each week.”

Occupancy at the Fiji Beachouse fluctuates with the greater numbers checking in on weekends, Mr Moore said.

On weekdays, the occupancy rates drop to as many as two guests, Mr Moore said.
