Hussain’s Body Found On Banks Of Labasa River

The body of Taiyub Hussain was found on the banks of Labasa River close to Benau yesterday morning.
It comes after a Police search was carried out since his wife, Haliman Bi, reported him missing on Wednesday when he did not return home the night before.
Mr Hussain was out catching crabs.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said the post-mortem examination would be conducted to ascertain the cause of death.
Mr Hussain’s employer, Azaad Construction Company Limited director Mohammed Sameer, said Mr Hussain worked for the company for 29 years.
“Mr Hussain was a very loyal employee and he was the priest in Siberia, Labasa where he lived with his wife and son,” Mr Sameer said.
Distraught wife, Ms Bi said: “I was advising him not to go alone, but he still didn’t listen to me.
“Sometimes men should listen to wives’ advice especially during this pandemic.”
