Derenalagi Commends Deal With Fiji Kava

Fiji Airways Fijian 7s captain Meli Derenalagi is pleased with Fiji Rugby Union’s partnership with Fiji Kava.
He commended the achievement yesterday during the launch of Fiji Kava’s Taki Mai – Gold Label Power Mix pack at Café 30 in Suva.
The deal provides the players access to Fiji Kava products, which is basically the capsules and instant kava.
Derenalagi said Taki Mai products helped them recover from strenuous trainings as well as stress.
“There are many overseas players who also like Taki Mai products for recovery after games or trainings,” Derenalagi said.
“If you’re tired or stressed, it relaxes your body and nerves before you sleep and you feel fresh when you wake up the morning.”
The partnership, which was signed earlier this year, ensured that FRU players had enough rest and to recover well after every game or training sessions.
Fiji Kava general manager sales George Kotobalavu said they would also look at expanding their sales overseas. But FRU players were their main focus at the moment.
“We signed up an agreement with FRU early this year. The sponsorship deal provides the players access to our products which is basically the Fiji Kava capsules and the instant kava,” he said.
“The Fiji Kava capsules are our first natural alternative to the usual chemical based medicine such as valium.
“And that’s one of the reasons why Fiji Rugby signed up. It was quiet effective for the players to improve in terms of their rehab and recovery.
“The unique thing about Fiji Kava capsules is it allows customers or players to rest well.
“Given the intensity the Fiji Airways Fijian 7s team involvement on the World Sevens Series, they needed something that will help them with recovery and rehab.
“For us our main focus is the FRU players making sure they in the top condition whenever they play in the World Sevens Series.”
