Mai TV To Launch New Australian Shows As Part Of PacificAus TV Initiative

MASTER CHEF and other popular Australian television content will feature on Mai TV next week as part of the PacificAus TV initiative.
Beginning Monday June 8, Mai TV viewers can watch premium Australian television shows from 8 pm to 9 pm from Monday to Saturday.
Under the initiative, Mai TV viewers will be able to watch shows which appeal to every member of the family, which include; Lego Masters S1, This Time Next Year S1, The Force S10, Paramedics S1, Sea Change, 800 words S1, Totally Wild S25, Scope S4 and the very popular Master chef Australia S10.
According to Free TV Australia, there are arrangements in the pipeline to allow broadcasting of live sports matches including rugby league, AFL and netball under the programme.
“We are pleased to show these programmes that will greatly enrich the television content available to all Fijians. We have a great mix of drama, entertainment and educational programmes that will both delight and inform our viewers on Mai TV. We are particularly excited about the kids’ programs- Totally Wild and Scope which will greatly enhance our kids and youth audience. Sincere thanks to the Australian government for the initiative,” said Mai TV head of Sales and Marketing Melinda Saga’itu-Atalifo.
“We see this as the beginning of a long term partnership which could further lead in due course to support local productions and development of expertise and skills.”
The shows that will launch next week include Lego Masters S1 which will air at 8 pm on Monday, This Time Next Year will air 8:30 pm on Tuesday, The Force S10 will air 8:30 pm on Wednesday, Paramedics S1 will air 8:30 pm on Thursday, Sea Change will air 8:30 pm on Friday and 800 Words will air at 8 pm on Saturday whilst the kids’ programs- Totally Wild S25 & Scope S4 air Monday-Sunday from 6 am and Monday-Saturday from 4 pm.
From Monday, July 6 watch passionate cooks from all over Australia compete against each other in food challenges to win the title of the best chef at the end of the Master chef season.
While the Australian TV content is a welcome addition, Mai TV will also continue to feature top local shows with rugby show Rakavi returning with new host Koli Vuacati, who will also host talk show Tali Magimagi. Shireen Shivan hosts the increasingly popular Hindi women’s show Jazbaat, General Superintendent of New Methodist Christian Fellowship Senior Pastor Atunaisa Vulaono hosts Current Affairs discussions Wednesday’s and Saturday’s at 6 pm, and Stanley Simpson anchors Simpson@8
Thursday’s at 8 pm. The local shows are replayed on Sunday.
