The Fiji Rugby Union has published its intentions to hold its Annual General Meeting on Saturday, July 18, at the Novotel Suva Lami Bay. Part of the AGM agenda include Election of Directors.

Speaking to SUNsports yesterday FRU chief executive officer John O’Connor confirmed the AGM planned for July 18, would only take place if the restriction on social gathering of not more than 20 persons is lifted.

“Currently only gathering of less than 20 people is allowed so if restrictions are not lifted by then we’ll have to decide on a new date. We have planned for the AGM proactively but will make changes so we continue to comply with Government restrictions since we expect more than 50 members to attend.” He clarified that the elections of the directors in the agenda was based on the rotation basis as per the provision of the Constitution and such directors are also eligible for re-elections.
