Qiliho Praises Religious Leaders In COVID-19 fight

Police Commissioner Brigadier-General Sitiveni Qiliho has acknowledged the efforts shown by religious leaders as places of worship opened their doors over the weekend.
On Sunday, churches around the country implemented strict measures to ensure that its members closely follow the restrictions in place.
Worshippers had to adhere to social distancing, hand sanitizing, and having their temperatures tested.
“Fiji’s ability to achieve its COVID-19 free status is due to everyone’s cooperation and we are encouraged by the efforts made by individual churches to ensure their members are safe,” Brigadier-General Qiliho said.
“We have received messages and photos from church leaders of their own efforts of protecting their members and this is commendable.
