ATS Offers Employees Chance To Start Own Business

Air Terminal Services has partnered with the Foundation for Rural Integrated Enterprise and Development (FRIEND) to offer terminated staff a chance to learn how to operate their own small business.

The one-day ideation workshop is to assist former staff who are interested in building capacity for acquiring ideas for new business opportunities.

He offer was made in a circular sent out to all staff by ATS Business Development Co-ordinator Aman Kumar on Tuesday.

“This workshop will primarily be an ideation session where all staff can evaluate the various business options that they would want to pursue,” Mr Kumar said in the circular.

Some of the areas where business could be developed include organic farming, poultry and bee keeping.

Those employees who are interested can register for technical support and business management training.

“Upon registration, a request for support to ATS for these further training sessions would be considered,” Mr Kumar said.

The company will provide return transport to FRIEND’s headquarters in Tuvu, Ba with lunch being provided.

The closing date for this workshop will be this Friday, July 3 and interested employees need to register before this.
