The eight Social Democratic Liberal Party Members of Parliament being investigated by FICAC over alleged allowance issues will meet Party Leader Sitiveni Rabuka.

Mr Rabuka, as the Opposition Leader, was requested by the party executives to liaise directly with the eight.

Mr Rabuka said the eight MPs were in the rural areas and Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu, who was in Lami, was feeling unwell.

“It may be sometime before I can talk to them. Depends on when they come in for preparation for the budget debate,” he said.

He said the party would let the law take its course and all the MPs were innocent until proven guilty.

Mr Rabuka added nothing would be done regarding the MPs fate in the party until the matter was finalised.
