Health Permanent Secretary Praises Fiji’s Inclusion On England’s Travel Corridor Exemption List

Fiji has been included in a list of more than 50 countries and territories that are exempted from quarantine upon arrival in England from July 10.
The announcement by United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson is a recognition of Fiji’s status as a COVID-19 contained country, says Acting Permanent Secretary for Health and Medical Services Dr James Fong.
He said the move is great news for Fiji and is an indictment of the country’s medical system.
From July 10, unless citizens from the listed countries have visited or stopped in any other country or territory in the preceding 14 days, they will not be required to self-isolate on arrival.
However, all passengers will still be required to provide contact information when they arrive in England.
