Let’s Go Local: Nanuku Auberge Embraces Local Tourism

Nanuku Auberge resort in Deuba has commended Tourism Fiji for the Love our Locals initiative.

“It has been so inspiring to see the resort humming again and watching our superb team back in action with smiles a plenty,” general manager Logan Miller said as he hailed the Tourism Fiji campaign.

The resort’s commendation comes after management noticed the smiles were back on their staff’s faces with team morale sky-rocketing.

In the wake of post coronavirus (COVID-19) planning, the newly renovated and landscaped resort proudly reopened its doors for the official launch of Tourism Fiji’s Love Our Locals campaign last weekend.

A traditional warrior welcome, marked the reopening, as Nanuku Aurberge hosted Fiji residents for a weekend of much needed rest and relaxation at the international luxury resort.

Beautifully positioned along the beach overlooking Beqa Lagoon, guests enjoyed Nanuku’s all villa accommodation, cultural activities, traditional cooking demonstrations, a wide-range of water sports and as much sun basking as they could handle.

Throughout the forced hibernation, the number one ranked resort in Australia and The South Pacific as voted by Condé Nast Traveler, spared no time during lockdown to continue extensive team training, deep cleaning the resort and expanding Nanuku’s sustainability program both at the resort and around the local community.

The exclusive ‘Love our Locals’ rate currently available for $550 covers taxes, luxury villa-style accommodation and breakfast for two adults and two children under 14 years, 20 percent off spa services, plus bonus early check in and late check out.

Normally guests would pay $1850 per night.
