Missing… Inia Tabutabu.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has requested details of the missing Fijian national from the Fijian Embassy in Brussels to be able to move forward with discussions on investigations of the matter.

Fijian-born Inia Tabutabu, 32, has been missing in France since May 30.

Mr Tabutabu went to France in 2008 and joined as a soldier in the French Legion. He has not been to Fiji since.

He last worked in Toulouse, France until August 2019.

Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs Yogesh Karan said he was waiting for a brief from the Embassy before he could comment further. “It is important to understand that the missing Fijian in France is the responsibility of the Fijian Embassy  in Brussels, they will need to ask questions to the French authorities.”
