A 44-year-old pastor was shattered when he discovered some of his goats were allegedly poisoned and stabbed.

Pastor Paula Sili had 52 goats, but lost 31 on Friday morning at his Vatulaulau Village farm in Ba.

Pastor Sili said he found nine goats were struggling on Thursday evening.

“They were frothing out of their mouths and I could tell they were poisoned,” the father of seven claimed.

He said they died soon after.

Pastor Sili said he locked the rest in their shed and buried the goats and returned home.

“I have only had these goats for two months and this has happened,” he said.

He said farming was his only source of income.

“My family helps me with the farm. This is vegetable and livestock. We have two cows and had 52 goats.

“I was proud because when this pandemic hit us, my family didn’t really get affected financially.

“This was able to allow me to fend for my family’s needs and even to our church and extended family and friends.”
