A New Zealand based company has come to the aid of the Nadi Football Association for the remainder of the 2020 Vodafone Premier League.

Nadi FA vice-president Mun Sami Chetty confirmed All in One Builders Company from Auckland would provide financial assistance.

“Nadi FA would like to inform fans that Sulendra Raju, managing director of All in One Builders has signed a sponsorship deal with the Nadi team from Auckland, New Zealand,” he said.

“He has always supported Nadi but this year he has come in as a major sponsor. We would like to thank him for his continuous support towards the team during this difficult time.”

Chetty added the deal was worth $20,000 for the VPL alone and was likely to increase. The team will be known as the All in One Builders Nadi.

Nadi FA president Ashwin Singh said: “With such a boost from a die-hard Nadi fan, the onus is on the boys and the coaching panel to work out a winning combination.”

The Green Machine fifth with six points on the VPL points table behind leaders Rewa (12 points), Suva (8), Lautoka (7), Ba (6), Labasa (4), Nasinu (4), and Navua (1).

Nadi travels to Subrail Park, to face Labasa this Saturday at 1.30 pm while  4R Electrical Ba will play their third match tomorrow 7 pm against Lautoka Blues at Churchill Park, Lautoka.

Labasa training hard

Labasa is preparing well for Saturday’s Vodafone Premier League match against Nadi, says Ronil Lal.

The Labasa coach said players were training hard to get fit after a long break due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He said they started training two weeks ago and promised to give their best.

He said it was good to see players returning from Viti Levu as the Babasiga Lions prepare to face the Green Machine.

“We want the fans to come in numbers and support the team,”Lal said.

Labasa play Nadi at 1.30pm at Subrail Park.
