Lautoka football coach Ravinesh Kumar knows the pressure they are going to face from their fans as host of the Punjas Battle of Giants Lautoka will face Rewa in their first match on Friday at 6:30pm in Churchill Park.

The Blues are still recuperating from the dismal performance at the OFC Champions League in Vanuatu, early this year.

They have also lost a number of their key players who have moved on to other districts.

In rebuilding the side, Kumar has been able to put together a formidable combination of Navua import Netani Doli, Edward Justin and Arami Maumaubai.

After their 1-0 loss to Rewa in the Vodafone Premier League clash, the no-nonsense coach side they were still in the building up process.

“We are fortunate to play Rewa and Navua before the B.O.G, which is a good build-up for us,” Kumar said.

“The games enabled us to know our strength and the other team’s as well. There will be some tactical changes.”

He is also keeping his fingers crossed that Ba midfielder Malakai Rakula and Sitiveni Cavuilagi get their release today to play for Lautoka in the B.O.G.

The presence of midfield general Zibraaz Sahib, Dave Radrigai and the evergreen Jone Vono Jnr should provide the spark the Blues need to fire-up their B.O.G campaign.
