5850 Fans Only At B.0.G

Fans must adhere to COVID – 19 protocols if they want to watch the Punjas Battle of the Giants (B.O.G) tournament.
Fiji Football Association (Fiji FA) chief executive officer Mohammed Yusuf issued the timely reminder before the much awaited tournament kicks off tomorrow.
The B.O.G will be staged at Lautoka’s Churchill Park which holds a capacity for 11,700 spectators.
However, as per Government’s policy, only 50 per cent of fans are allowed.
“That’s the regulation and we will only sell 5850 tickets ,” Yusuf said.
“We’ve requested the disciplined forces, our security personnel and social responsibility teams to ensure the COVID-19 protocols are followed.
“We want everybody to comply with the rules, no arguments.
“We will make sure that the careFiji app will be sited at the gate, no app no entry,” he added.
The careFIJI app is Fiji’s COVID-19 tracing app.
Yusuf indicated the Fiji FA would be providing Wifi at the gate for those who would like to download the app before the games.
He urges fans to work hand in hand with them for everyone’s safety.
“Those not complying will not be allowed into Churchill Park,” he said.
“For those with no smartphones, they will need to produce a photo id, for all the details to be entered in the log book.”
The pool games will start on Friday until Sunday August 9. The semifinals and final will be played on the following weekend.
The ticket price for Pavilion A will be $15 for adults and children Under-12 $7.
Pavilion B will $12 for adult and children U12 will be $5 while on the embankment its $6 and $2.
