Change Venue For Double Header Clash: Tui Namosi

The Tui Namosi Ratu Suliano Matanitobua wants a change of venue on the Skipper Cup/Farebrother- Sullivan Trophy double header clash against Lautoka on August 22.
This followed last Saturday’s challenge match against Naitasiri where fans did not observe the social distancing protocols, while those who could not get into the ground climbed on trees and nearby roof tops to watch the game.
Ratu Suli confirmed to SUNsports that he would be having talks with Namosi Rugby Union officials on the matter.
“We’ve all witnessed the number of fans that have come to watch the game from both sides and it’s sad that the ground is too small that we can’t cater for everyone,” he said.
“I will talk to the union officials and see if we can move the next challenge match against Lautoka to Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori.

“To see fans from Naitasiri and Namosi sitting on the fence and roof tops is sad because they travel a long way to come and watch their team play.

“We’ll talk and see if there are possibilities that we could change the venue to a much bigger ground that can cater for the fans.”
