Koi Heads WIMA Again

Jane Koi was re-elected president of the Women in Maritime (Fiji) while Faranisese Kinivuwai is now their legal officer at their Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Suva last Thursday.
In her acceptance speech Ms Koi thanked the members for their confidence in the executive committee’s leadership.
“We look forward to connecting, engaging and involving members and key stakeholders in the maritime industry at all levels of progress earmarked to be achieved,” Ms Koi said.
“The formalisation of a localised Strategic Plan for Fiji WIMA is a priority and will be looked into by the new executives,” she said.
WIMA (Fiji)’s 2018 and 2019 audited financial statements were presented at the AGM along with a review of the past two years Annual Report.
The highlight of the AGM was the election of executive committee members for the 2020-2022 term.
The newly elected executives: Jane Koi (President), Michelle Rama (Vice-President), Ashika Chand (Secretary), Jeanette Rama (Treasurer), Faranisese Kinivuwai (Legal Adviser), Anaseini Tukana (Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji Representative), Virashna Singh (Public Relations & Communications Officer), executive members: Asena Sitela and Stella Hanfakaga.
