Lynda Confident In Getting Top Backers To Finance Her Bid For Deputy Leader Position

Opposition Whip, Lynda Tabuya, is confident that the biggest financiers of SODELPA are backing her in her bid for the Deputy Party Leader position.

Ms Tabuya said she was approached by the largest constituencies as well as the top funding bodies to apply.

“The success of any election campaign is numbers and finances. I am humbled by their confidence in me and I am giving it a shot,” Ms Tabuya said.

“There are strong contenders for the position and I wish them all the very best.”

She said she did not apply for the Party Leader position because her constituency which is Nasinu had endorsed caretaker Party Leader, Sitiveni Rabuka, for the position.

“I respect the will of our council who have consulted widely with our members,” she said.

“Whether I am successful or not, my work is the same. I am equally committed and dedicated to our people to be the voice for the voiceless, the help for the helpless and serve with compassion, forgiveness and love.”

Ms Tabuya also confirmed that she will be contesting the 2022 elections.
