The Housing Authority is working on more than 1000 housing lots to meet the demand from customers wanting properties.

On Tuesday during their Central Division outreach programme in Nasinu, chief executive officer Robert Sen confirmed an additional 620 lots in the Nepani and Davuilevu Subdivisions, 300 lots as part of the Tacirua phase two works and 108 for the new Tovata subdivision in Labasa.

“We are also looking at Veisari where we have acquired a 90 acre land and also in Veikoba. Those are all in the process.”

He said this was part of the Authority’s plans of developing more lots with a few more strata titles.

“Once our civil works in the above mentioned areas are completed we plan to be selling land plus houses to customers,” he said.

He said the authority in the past two weeks had signed a contractor in Labasa for the new Tovata Subdivision and that it will begin its development this month.
