Bala Reveals Anti-Doping Move
Minister for Youth and Sport Parveen Bala will be submitting an anti-doping policy to Cabinet in two weeks time.
Mr Bala said this while officiating the 2020 Ba Futsal local league launch at the Namosau Futsal court, Ba on Sunday.
He urged football reps to keep away from drugs as there was no point in having a tournament, players training for two to three weeks and then have them test positive for drug use.
“Those football players who think you get away from drugs – I’m sorry – Fiji is going to have its own policy,” he said.
“I can tell you that we are going to have very strict rules put in place.
“It’s not only you, it’s not only an embarrassment to you, but for all the teammates, for parents and for the district as a host.”
