Ovalau aims to win it for fans when they host Cakaudrove in round four of the Vodafone Vanua Championship at Nasau Park, Levuka on Saturday.

The Luke Vulo-coached side defied the odds returning on Sunday after spending three weeks in Vanua Levu defeating Cakaudrove (10-7), Bua (26-22) and Macuata (11-5).

Conquering the North, the side’s quest to return to Skipper Cup Premiership competition in 2021 is set on course.

And they aim to continue their unbeaten run and give something back to their loyal fans who are eager to watch their players in action at home.

Yesterday, the players went through gym work and training session.

Nanukuloa sets pace

Also undefeated in the competition is Nanukuloa under the guidance of renowned provincial and Flying Fijians mentor Reverend Joji Rinakama. The side beat Ra 40-5, Tavua 14-12 and Vatukoula 14-13.

The team plays Ra in round four at Saivou District School ground on Saturday.

In the Central Vanua Zone, the feature match of the round will be between Northland and Nasinu who have lost a game each while Rewa should try to defy all odds by returning from Naluwai with a much needed win after a scoreless draw against the North Bulls and a loss to Northland.
