A loyal Nestle customer was rewarded for his dedication to the brand that he returned to Nawaka yesterday $30,000 richer.

Shouket Ali, 63, of Nadi said winning the pay packet promotion was timely because his family was not sparred from the effects of COVID-19.

“My wife consistently buys Nestle products like Maggie noodles, Nestle coffee and Kit Kat to be part of the pay packet promotion,” Mr Ali said.

“We have been participating in Nestle’s promotions overtime, we keep ourselves updated through displays in retail outlets.”

“With this pandemic situation that we are facing, this money would really help my family and I will spend it wisely.

“I was very excited and happy when someone from Nestle Fiji phoned telling me that I had won something but they did not tell me what I had won, all they said was for my family to come to Suva to collect the prize.”

Nestle Fiji general manager Jason Jezewski said the pay packet promotion ran for three months.

It required customers to purchase selected Nestle products $5 or more for a chance to be in the draw.

He said customers had to write their names and address behind the receipt of every purchase.

“The Nestle pay packet promotion included 26 consolation prizes of $150 pay packets and the $30,000 grand prize,” Mr Jezewski said.

Mr Jezewski said the inspiration behind setting up the pay packet promotion was the company’s way of helping its customers during this global pandemic.

“We felt that adding value to our consumers by having a competition boost could add value to customers pockets so we thought that the promotion was timely and would assist families during this difficult time,” he said.

The Nestle pay packet promotion ran between June 15 and August 31, 2020.
