Scoring tries is not as easy as it seems, says Ram Sami Suva rugby winger Misaele Petero.

Petero scored a hat-trick of tries as Suva beat Nadroga 32-26 during the Skipper Cup clash at the ANZ Stadium, Suva, yesterday. It lifted Suva to the top of the table.

The 25-year-old Namosi native said scoring tries is always a bonus to his game.

“It’s not easy, but I guess I’m always at the right place at the right time,” he said.

“I always have a goal every Saturday and that is to score a try. I’m thankful for my three tries even though Nadroga fought hard and were coming back strongly.”

He said family support has been the pillar of his strength and always boosts his performance.

“Whenever I play I’d make sure to check my runs and see that I’m always supporting my teammates.

“I’m honoured and thankful to God for always guiding me whenever I play.”
