First Local Returnee Commends Resort

Castaway Island Resort in the Mamanuca Group is renowned for its international returnees.
This time, however, the local returnees are singing the praises of the resort.
Under the Tourism ministry’s Love our Locals campaign, Fiji Airways pilot Eminoni Wivou, his wife Jocelyn and nine-year old daughter Niconia last weekend made their second trip to the resort to spend the weekend.
“I’ve been to several hotels globally and locally, each offering their own strengths.
“But without a doubt, Castaway is overwhelmingly by far the best,” Mr Wivou said in his guest comment after his first weekend at the island resort.
“Whilst on the island, the thought of saying goodbye to our new found Castaway family was harder than imagined, which prompted our next immediate decision to re-book.”
Re-book they did and made their second trip on September 5-6.
“Unquestionably the staff were the best thing we encountered,” Mr Wivou said.
“Everything fell into place.
“It was a great family time and enjoyed every minuted.”
Mr Wivou said he had made some recommendations to the resort’s general manager Steven Andrews.
“I am so glad to see that they are proactive as my recommendation was taken onboard and the food was even better second time around.”
Last weekend, the resort was booked out with around 160 guests on the island.
